The Man from M.I.5.

Opening Thoughts: I really like the jazzy incidental music in this one. Reminds me of that bar the Stingray crew used to hang around in.

Every Direction: They did the thing of having a human hand in the foreground again. In this case it was shooting a puppet. Bitchin'.

Decline in Standards: Someone actually died. You see what happens when you try to make Thunderbirds into a spy show? Why will no-one listen to me?

Pretty: Cool watery explosion when they blow up the boat. The wave looks pink in the light. (I do like explosions...)

Back On The Island: They have a model model submarine! And it's remote controlled! I wanna go...

Know Your Role: Isn't it nice how Brains' experiments take second place to Alan having a swim? Must be nice to know just how much you're appreciated.

Future Past: Another Fireflash Lady P travels on goes unsabotaged. Where's the Hood when you need him? Also it seems to manage to fly perfectly well while carrying Lady P's hat (you know, the one from the opening credits that makes her look a little bit like an unfashionable Time Lord). They must've improved on the design.

Leesen Viry Carfully: Lady P doing a French accent. Not good. (If, indeed, it was a French accent...)

Woodland Rendezvous: The owls are not what they seem.

"Move a muscle and I'll blow off your head.": Blow off his head! Blow off his head! Save us... (Sorry, I do actually like this episode. For a Lady P one, anyway. But I must object on principle)

Slow Realisation: "You realise, of course, it is not International Rescue's policy to involve itself in politics or police work." Yes love, I realise that, you realise that, now all we need is for the writers to realise that...

"But you have the most advanced equipment in the world...": What is it with Lady P? All the men she holds at gunpoint try to chat her up... That probably says something very significant about her. Or them. And I'm not going to try to work out what it is.

A Model Spy: Full of herself, isn't she? Fashion model my arse. Far too old, and not nearly skinny enough.

Hang On a Scuba-Divin' Minute: How did the French bad guy get down to their hideout submarine with the newspaper without getting it all wet? It doesn't look like it's even been folded much, let alone stuck in a drysuit...

Protective: "You won't do anything dangerous, will you?" Jeff, if you don't want her to do anything dangerous, stop sending her on these dippy little missions. Let her stay at home and drink tea and try to keep Parker out of the silverware. More than enough excitement.

Speaking of Which: Parker, the comedy criminal. Deep sigh.

Run Away...: "Parker cleared his bits and pieces away before he left..." No! No! No... Bad, bad brain! Ewww... I hate my mind, I hate my mind, I hate my mind...

An Apology: I have to admit it, Lady P messing with the bad guys is really really cool. And funny. She rules, if only for twenty minutes.

Avon Calling: I'm not convinced by the make-up code. Really I'm not. Fair enough, they'd probably be able to guess a few buzz-words that they'd be likely to need, but honestly... There isn't a big enough face/make-up kit in the world to have enough variations to make it workable. Also it's not very impressive.

Silence: The sound on Lady P's communicator seems very selective. Once the bad guys have gone, Jeff can hear Lady P talking from right across the room, if not very clearly. However when the bad guy's standing right next to her, telling her all about the bomb and how he's going to tie her up and leave her there, they hear nothing. It's like old people only being deaf when it suits them.

As I Turn to Leave: Scott's little aside as he's spinning out of the lounge is cool. I think because it makes a change from the stock launching sequence footage.

Aw!: The bomb has little rabbit ears! It's so cute! (And doesn't it look a bit like the one from Move - and You're Dead?)

Speak Up: I'm surprised Brains can't do something to enhance the sound on Lady P's communicator... Maybe he's still pissed off about Alan jumping on his submarine.

Advanced Equipment: Why is sonar (TB1) better than radar (The port authorities) at detecting motionless submarines? As Virg would say, 'I don't get it.'

Dip: TB2 dropping TB4 - It doesn't land on the water or drop the pod, it just dips down to the surface and leaves the pod there... I don't think that happens in any other episode...

Pretty 2: Full launch sequence TB4.

Paralyser: TB4 has cool gadgets. Poor Gordon, he should so get more to do. Also it's nice that the gas is clear for once. Makes a change.

"I reckon this is what we came to rescue...": See? Gordon thinks all this spy bollocks is crap as well. He's on my side.

Element of Risk: Parker gambled away Lady P's yacht. Hah. Serves her right for employing criminal morons. (Yep, my brief period of Lady P tolerance seems to be over...)
