Young Death - Boyhood of a Superfiend.

By John Wagner and Brian Bolland.

Synopsis:
Judge Death does Interview With a Vampire.

Review:
There's some great little subtle bits of humour in here. There's also a big dead mutant alien guy with very scary teeth who kills people in nasty ways. So, something for everyone.

The plot is fairly simplistic, and the backstory is nicely explained, so you can dip in even if you haven't read all the stuff leading up to it. As you'd expect, the artwork is excellent, although it does suffer a little from Carter syndrome (making things too dark to see to create suspense), but, given the general tone, that's excusable.

There's even some nice shades of realism - Death (or Sidney, as his mummy called him) beginning with abusing animals, gradually escalating in violence.

In conclusion, It's good. It's funny. There's a lot of blood.
