Maskerade.

By Terry Pratchett.

Synopsis:
It's a witches book, and it's a take on Phantom of the Opera.

Review:
It's the intermediary witches book - Magrat's gone, and Agnes has yet to come. Therefore the usual dynamic is somewhat altered; which isn't helped by the fact that it's a witches book set in Ankh-Morpork...

Granny Weatherwax remains the man. Especially in the fight at the end. Shades of the battle with Lily in Witches Abroad there. I miss Magrat, though. She's too good for marriage.

Greebo as a human rocks, as does Henry Slugg, but for very different reasons. The city watch (or a couple of members, at least) do cameos.

Also, Mr Pratchett has very kindly confirmed my suspicions concerning those who use multiple exclamation marks.

Anyway, it's Pratchett - therefore it's good. But my favourite witches book remains Lords and Ladies. I guess I'm just a sucker for elves.
