Synopsis:
I'm not sure why I'm bothering to do these... Everyone knows what happens, don't they?
Anyway... kids in big old house find a big old wardrobe and inside it there's a load of snow and a wicked witch.
Review:
This jars a bit in comparison to the other books, but then it was the first one... (And he wrote it for his god-daughter. That always seems a bit off to me, when an author writes something for someone else (another example would be Stephen King's 'The Eyes of the Dragon'), usually a child, then publishes it and gets loads of money. Not much of a present, unless they share the royalties...) The inclusion of Father Christmas in particular feels very wrong. One thing I do really like about this book is the way the children pick on each other.
