Synopsis:
Shasta, a fisherman's son, runs away from home when he hears his father planning to sell him into slavery. He comes across a talking horse. They plan to travel across the desert and into Narnia and freedom. (FREEDOMMmm...! Sorry...)
Review:
I like this one. I think they could have done a bit more with Calormen. After all, it's a completly different culture, as opposed to Archenland (or Narnia Lite), and I can't remember any other countries being mentioned (Apart from all the islands in Voyage of the Dawn Treader, but I ain't counting them as countries), it's all stuff within Narnia.
Shasta is a good hero character. C.S. Lewis generally manages to humanise his main characters well, while still having them doing all the heroic stuff. Bree is also an excellent character, especially the way he runs away from things, and worries about acting the wrong way amoung other talking horses.
