Synopsis:
Caspian (of Prince Caspian fame) has grown up and become King of Narnia. And he's decided to sail off into the unexplored Eastern Ocean to try to find the seven lost friends of his father. For... no real reason that I can remember (that'll be Aslan's will, then) Edmund and Lucy (from the other books) and their cousin Eustace get sucked through a painting and dumped into the ocean...
Review:
I like this one. Depending on mood, it's either my favourite or second-favourite of the Narnia books. I especially like the stars (Coriakin and Ramandu. And yes, I did have to look up the names...). It's such a nice idea, and they're much more interesting than the stars in the Last Battle.
Reepicheep rules. Fair enough, if you actually had to spend any time with him in real life, he'd be very very annoying, but reliable sources inform me that Narnia isn't real, so that's okay. Eustace also rules. He's the only sensible one there. It's nice to have someone who doesn't just accept everything at face value. And he gets to be a dragon, the git. Caspian should have been played by Steven Pacey. My brain will not be swayed on this issue.
Oooh, and I want a Dawn Treader...
