Who's in it:
Absolutely no-one of any interest apart from David Gale who played Dr Hill in Reanimator.
The Plot:
An evil scientist (Gale) creates a large killer brain that can control people's thoughts, using a TV programme called 'Independant Thinking' (the plan being to take over the world... of course). The Brain (which has eyes, a nose and lots of teeth) needs to feed off people's minds to make it stronger. Oh and, of course, it eats people. The doctor guy puts people though tests. If successful then the Brain grows. If not, you get really trippy hallucinations.
Can mankind stop the horror of the Brain, or will they just wander around aimlessly and leave it all to chance?
Review:
Ok, it starts out good with a cool hallucination scene. From there it sinks rapidly into a teen horror. The best thing the film has to offer is its plot. Though thin, it does raise some good points about total couch potatoes (see Ceefax for reference).
The Brain is cool in a sad way. Don't watch it you want to have a serious night in. It's not great, but it does try!
Best thing about the film:
The Brain. It's sooo cute.
Worst thing about the film:
The Brain moves around a lot.
Funniest moment:
The Brain eating the nurse.
Scariest moment:
The bit right at the very very end.
Coolest moment:
The Reanimator in-jokes.
Best quote:
Brain - "I WANT ACTION!"
Rating:
* * * - My kind of film. ie, total bollocks.
