Demons 3 - The Ogre.

Yes, they made another one... or did they...

A best selling horror writer starts to have nightmares that she used have when she was a child. Nightmares of being in the basement of a huge castle with an Ogre chasing her. Putting this down to stress, she and her husband and son decide to go for a nice holiday to a small castle, which looks vaguely familiar.

After a while the dreams begin again, but are more vivid. In the dream she drops a stuffed rabbit. The next day the woman ends up in the castle basement where she finds the rabbit from the dream. When she tries to convince her husband that things are a bit on the weird side, he just says she writes too much horror and it's starting to affect her. That could explain things.

However the woman starts to hear things in the night, and finally when their son goes missing her husband is ready to face the truth - there's an ogre in the basement and it's planning on having their son as a light snack.

Review:
My first thought (as yours was I suspect) - dear god, how many times can you make the same film?!?!?

Thankfully, this film has nothing to do with the others (so why call it Demons 3 -the Ogre, instead of just, oh I dunno, the OGRE! is anyone's guess). The film's plot is mostly based around fairy-tales and local legends all focused on (surprisingly enough) Ogres.

This film doesn't rate up there on the AH-SHIT! meter of scaryness, more on the Uhhh-shudder scale, not highly you understand, but it does have it's moments of creepiness. Most notable is the scene where the writer woman is typing away about the ogre raping and killing a woman, whilst it's actually happening. Not an epic, but still quite original.
