The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.

Synopsis:
(Deep breath...) Frodo and Sam have buggered off to Mordor on their own, while the rest of the fellowship has orcy fun in Rohan. Saruman goes bad, the Ents get mad, Arwen is all sad, and Gollum develops multiple personality syndrome. There are lots of big smashy battles.

Review:
I was very impressed with this. Seeing as how Two Towers was always the most boring of the books, the movie kicks surprising amounts of arse.

There are moments when it deviates from the book, but mostly they worked. The only bit I really didn't like was when Frodo, Sam and Gollum encountered Faramir and his merry men. Not to give anything away, but it made so much more sense in the book. I was also a bit pissed off that the Entwives didn't get a mention.

But I could quibble all night... Conclusion: good movie. Lots of pretty things and smashy things and flamey things. And Ents. And Elves. It's all good, really.
